This is a household invitation - just trying to limit how many email addresses we need to manage. Partners/adult kids etc etc all welcome. Bring 'em all, just let us know how many please.
-
Children - we will be celebrating in the woods behind our house. The terrain is rough, there will be (residual hopefully) nettles and it will be dark by 9pm. There is a river beside the woods and a pond in the grounds. While you are welcome to bring children, it's possibly not suitable for kids under the age of 12ish.
-
Dogs - probably a bad idea; no-one wants to faceplant in dog poop in the dark. If you’re stuck, get in touch, there are potential options.
-
Camping/campervans - we have space for both. If you're in a tent, highly recommend an inflatable mattress or some padding. It's very picturesque but the ground is a bit lumpy.
-
If you're bringing a campervan we need to know in advance so we can arrange access - see the RSVP form.
-
Other parking: car parking in the area is limited. If you plan on camping in a tent, we'll sort out gear drop off and then you can find on street parking. It is limited; there is not space in Millfield so expect a shortish walk back.
-
Other accommodation: If you don't want to camp, there are a couple of hotels/B&Bs in the area - reach out if you would like information. We will also get a bus run back to Brighton (at a time tbd), if you want to book accommodation there. Taxis also possible but recommend booking ahead.
-
There will be a range of food but please let us know any dietary requirements so we can accommodate. Stick the details in the RSVP form please
-
Bring torches and your dancing wellies!
-
There will be some contingency planning for wet weather but it will be outside contingency so if it's looking like it might be wet in the days immediately beforehand, please plan accordingly. We'll be going ahead in rain, hail or shine!
